What we do as a remote team twice a year? Get the whole team together in person.
Last week, we did something we make a point to do twice a year. We got the whole team together in person.
We spent a few days in Vero Beach, Florida. Yes, there was plenty of work… but also plenty of life.

Beach mornings.
A happy hour boat ride.
Way too much seafood.
Cold plunges and sauna sessions.

And one of the best parts? Spouses and kids joined us.

While we were there, we took a step back from the day-to-day and focused on the bigger picture.
We walked through our 2026 vision as a team. Every team member completed a SWOT analysis on their 2025. We talked about what worked, what didn’t, and where they want to grow. We talked openly about goals, challenges, and where we’re headed together.

Everyone left with a Full Focus Planner and a Brick for their phones. Both real (and some of my favorite tools) tools to help with focus and productivity, not just talk about it.

If you run a remote team, here’s my honest takeaway:
Remote work is incredible. But getting in the same room a few times a year is irreplaceable.
Alignment gets sharper. Trust gets deeper. Energy gets reset.
We came home feeling rejuvenated, aligned around a fresh vision, and equipped with better systems to execute on it this year.
Grateful for this team. Grateful for the work. And excited for what’s ahead.
